Chapter 581 — A Knight Who Eternally Regresses

Chapter 581

Encrid rescues Seiki, a young Highlander girl, from the Order. Seiki reveals her intention to return to the monastery to rescue other children being held captive. Despite the danger, Encrid agrees to help her, motivated by his own sense of justice. Accompanied by Shinar Kirhais, they travel to the monastery near the western border of Naurillia. Upon arrival, Encrid uses his superior Knight skills to swiftly and non-lethally subdue the monastery guards, demonstrating incredible precision. They navigate through the monastery to the dungeons, where they find captives being subjected to brutal punishments by Shilma's followers. One monk, who had attempted to help Seiki, is being tortured with hot wax by a loyalist of Shilma. Encrid enters the cell, subduing the tormentor and saving the monk. The monk, blinded and scarred by the wax, perceives Encrid as a divine messenger or a hero sent by God. Encrid, however, remains humble, stating he acts of his own will and is willing to face the consequences of his actions against the Order.
