As the assassin rushes forward to deliver a killing blow with Needle, Encrid utilizes knowledge gained from a previous death to block the stiletto with his guard sword, causing the stiletto to break. In a continuous, fluid motion, Encrid draws his longsword and delivers a crushing blow that splits the assassin's face, killing him instantly. Encrid reflects that this was his tenth repetition of the day, noting it was his shortest loop yet.
