Kim Soleum deduces that the forest and the subway station have fused due to human perception. Suddenly, Kim Soleum is separated from the group in a thick fog. He navigates a terrifying labyrinth of appearing nooses and silhouetted corpses, realizing the forest itself provides the means for suicide to satisfy the perception of a "suicide hotspot." He manages to find the stairs by remembering the layout of a subway station and descends to the platform, where he discovers he has been unknowingly dragging a corpse with him.
