The illusion fails, and the 'teacher'—a massive entity made of fused bodies, including Park Hongrim's torso—attacks. Kim Soleum lures the monster away using glass beads engraved with 'protect,' momentarily revealing the true hallway through the shadows. On the 5th floor, Kim Soleum discovers a series of disturbing journals left by the teachers/agents, detailing a failed ritual to hold back the darkness until rescue arrived. The auditorium is found completely destroyed and transformed into a mass of flesh. Kim Soleum begins to be consumed by the floor. Agent Choi arrives and uses glass hand cannon bullets—which Kim Soleum realizes are meant for a rescue ritual—to purify the space, restoring the auditorium's original form to trap the entity within the horror game framework. Agent Haegeum provides Kim Soleum with the Four-Tiger Sword, instructing him to use its power as a student under direct invasion. Despite intense physical pain and his fingers shattering, Kim Soleum begins the sword chant to strike down the entity.
