To prevent a violent confrontation that would harm Go Youngeun, Kim Soleum negotiates by offering packaged food rations. Once onboard, the party realizes the passengers are desperate survivors living in a cramped, makeshift shelter. Tensions rise when the train's 'Chief'—a malicious man in a cap—arrives and insults Go Youngeun, calling her a fake doctor and a burden. A female Station Attendant, who is Go Youngeun's aunt and a former Sekwang Transit employee, intervenes and restores order. The party moves to Car 7, a neutral trading zone, where Kim Soleum discovers the train was originally a shelter created by the Cheongryong Team (including Agent Chogae). Kim Soleum speaks with the Station Attendant, learning the horrific truth of the city's downfall: people were transformed into clumping, mucus-like flesh blobs after muttering strange phrases about "Paradise."
