Kim Soleum (Mascot) summons the deceased Jang Heowoon (Bison) to a newly leased 35-square-meter space in Afternoon Station. Soleum explains that to maintain their human personas, they are effectively trapped within the small lease area, as leaving would revert them to non-human resort employees. Both Heowoons agree to stay and work. Soleum transforms the space into a 'Flower Golden Resort Souvenir Pop-up Store,' displaying food and goods to provide essential supplies to survivors on the train. Soleum installs a mass-produced Mascot to manage the shop. Soleum then encounters Eun Haje and Ryu Jaekwan, who have also regained consciousness as corpses. Eun Haje, showing pragmatic composure, accepts their state as a way to avoid starvation or contamination. Soleum attempts to terminate their employment contracts to free them, but discovers that because the leased space is too small, he lacks the authority to cancel the subordination. After regrouping with Go Youngeun, Soleum boards the last car (Car 8) of the Train Shelter to rest. Before sleeping, Soleum asks Brown to deliver letters to his companions and specific individuals (Agent Choi and Section Chief Lee Jaheon) explaining his mission to explore the Cheerful Research Institute to find a way out. While lying in the car, Soleum notices a screw on the wall that matches a Daydream Potion cap; he pulls it out to reveal a hidden note written by Lee Kangheon.
