Chapter 323 — Got Dropped in a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work — Part 2

Chapter 323

Kim Soleum summons a member of the Security Team (a ghost story entity) to the hospital. The entity, dressed in a black hooded coat with combat gear, confronts the patients from the 5th floor at the emergency exit. Using a massive, bone-like axe, the entity brutally slaughters the patients amidst screams and blood. Kim Soleum and Baek Saheon witness the carnage from behind the door. Once the silence returns, the entity emerges covered in blood and filth. Kim Soleum realizes the entity is a non-human ghost story and follows prescribed protocols to interact with it. The entity provides a series of post-it notes: first, stating Kim Soleum will not be charged for the disturbance; second, warning him not to go to the branch office and to be careful. After the entity departs toward the Annex Basement, Kim Soleum and Baek Saheon return to the 5th floor to a storage room labeled "Surplus Goods Storage." Kim Soleum uses his tattoo/identity to hide a decommissioned Potion Maker among other discarded Daydream Inc. equipment. Two days later, Baek Saheon reflects on the incident, noting the suspicious cleanliness of the cleanup and suspecting the chaos was an inside job orchestrated by a Director to target an Agent. He encounters the person Kim Soleum rescued, who is fine, and decides to eventually involve Kim Soleum in Director Ho's Project. Meanwhile, Kim Soleum arrives at Morning Station in Sekwang Metropolitan City. While planning his next steps to install the stolen Potion Maker, he notices a figure standing in a newly appeared waiting room. The figure reveals himself to be Juror Number 1, a being wearing an Agent uniform with Ho Yuwon's face.
