The narrator realizes that Kim Soleum, an innocent man from a world without ghost stories, became a biological disaster host by listening to the 'Angel's Sigh Melody' from the music box. This entity, a mass of fused human bodies, spreads contamination by disseminating truths about the world. Crucially, the narrator discovers they are the 'Good Friend' version of this disaster: a successful experiment by the Cheerful Research Institute to extract Kim Soleum's mind and place it in a body made from a Daydream Dragon Mascot, designed to lack dissonance and retain a human ego. Despair sets in as the narrator realizes they are linked to the monster's head. However, the Rabbit Doll provides a replacement candle, providing a temporary reprieve. Simultaneously, in the subway below, the seal of the Sekwang Metropolitan City begins to break. Time accelerates, causing rapid aging and rust on the tracks. Two familiar figures, Jang Heowoon (Bison) and Lee Seonghae's former colleague (Dolphin), appear wearing masks. They announce that the Golden Flower Mascot has chosen the subway as a site for a theme park, as golden architecture begins to devour the tracks.
