Kim Soleum, the A-squad assistant manager, the Y-squad newbie, and the unconscious researcher flee the 'Fantasy Train' as grotesque, oozing mascots swarm from every entrance. The environment is a cacophony of distorted music and laughter. During the sprint, Kim uses 500-won coins to summon a shadow hand to shove a mascot away, but the hand is destroyed, causing Kim to experience the same agonizing sensation in his own hand. As they reach the 'Fantasyland (Westside Gate)', the researcher shoves the assistant manager into a mascot to save himself. The assistant manager is partially burned by acidic ooze and pinned down. Kim uses his specialized equipment to pull her to safety by grabbing her nail. They successfully cross the gate, finding themselves behind an invisible barrier that prevents the mascots from entering the buffer zone.
