Kim Soleum and the survivors arrive in the blue zone, where D-squad is waiting. They find Section Chief Lee Jaheon carrying the unconscious A-squad leader, while a separate group hauls a body in a large inner tube. Assistant Manager Eun explains that the mascots in this zone act as 'righteous enforcers' who punish violence between team members. This explains the fate of Y-squad's Assistant Manager Lee Seok-jong, who died after forcing employees into dangerous stunts for amusement; the mascot deemed him a 'naughty child' and punished him. The A-squad leader, having fainted from high blood pressure due to excessive effort to save subordinates, is shaken awake by Lee Jaheon. A heated confrontation ensues when she demands Lee take responsibility for the loss of her subordinate, to which Lee Jaheon coldly replies that A-squad's losses are her responsibility, not his. Assistant Manager Jin Nasol interrupts the argument, suggesting they finish the clearance first to deal with the deranged researcher from Research Team 1. Kim Soleum observes the tension, noting that he must keep his head down to survive.
