Chapter 12

A piercing scream wakes Kim Yo-han, who finds Ellie in the hallway. They head to the kitchen, where a pastor and a shaman stand frozen before an open refrigerator, shaking a cross and bell. The housekeeper and Smith are terrified. Yo-han realizes Grizzly's refrigerator prank has triggered a panic, and he takes charge, declaring it the work of a wicked evil spirit. Pastor Go Ju-won challenges Yo-han's authority, but Yo-han introduces himself as a Ghostbuster, defusing tension. Meanwhile, Shaman Park Min-hee, who had been wandering the mansion alone, suffers a possession fit, screaming about eyes and skeletal arms before bolting out of the kitchen. In the central lobby, a chandelier falls on her head, killing her. Outside, a blizzard isolates the mansion. Yo-han consults his grimoire, learning of a black magic ritual that isolates villages via storm. Finally, the possessed blonde girl Emily descends the staircase in a white nightgown, mockingly comparing the corpse to a burst raspberry pie, as the Boogeyman's influence takes hold.
