In a rain-soaked Seoul alley, MC chases the Paracelsus wizard Alphons, exchanging gunfire and water magic. MC feigns desperation while Gnomes dig magic circles into the concrete, then turns the weather against Alphons by invoking lunar magic just before sunrise. A brutal street-fight ensues with grimoire and sword, ending with MC beheading Alphons. Lee Mun-ryong, the spearman fighting Grizzly nearby, is revealed to have been Alphons's client. MC bribes him with Gnome gold coins to become his new bodyguard, and the two share a restorative potion before grabbing beers at a predawn convenience store, where a flustered clerk watches them. The chapter closes with the rain stopping as morning breaks.
