Later, Go Yuir visits Dang Seo-rin in a hospital where she has collapsed and is confined to a wheelchair due to deteriorating health. She reveals her hidden ability, [Equivalent Exchange], which allows her to burn her natural lifespan to exponentially increase her magical firepower. During the Ten Legs battle, she chanted for 41 minutes, consuming approximately 250 years of accumulated lifespan far beyond her natural 85-year limit. Go Yuir deduces that her lifespan had been accumulating silently across the first nine cycles of his regressions because she failed to use it in those timelines. He confesses his identity as a regressor and explains this accumulation theory. Dang Seo-rin accepts this with cheerful gratitude, comparing Go Yuir’s path to her own metaphor of repairing broken tracks. Before dying, she instructs Go Yuir to use her accumulated lifespan for future battles against stronger enemies, to hide his regressive nature from her future selves to prevent her from squandering the savings, and to always remain her vice-guild leader—though Go Yuir internally admits he never did the latter. Go Yuir honors her wish, growing stronger and accumulating tens of thousands of years of lifespan across thousands of cycles, while holding onto her memory. The chapter ends with a recent cycle where Dang Seo-rin again invites him to be her vice-guild leader, to which he politely declines, maintaining their bond as companions in time.
