There, he witnesses Kim Ji-soo as a student in a gray uniform confronting a Hollow zombie that has killed her teacher. Despite fear, Ji-soo bravely engages the monster with a golf club to buy time for her classmates to rescue the teacher. Although her tactics are sound, the group is doomed by the teacher’s rapid transformation and the students' inability to survive. The regressor intervenes, killing the zombie with a single strike and claiming to be a National Intelligence Service agent to reassure the survivors. A battered Ji-soo returns, having shed her coat to distract the monster. She bows to the regressor, thanking him for saving her classmates, and introduces herself by name.
