The two travel together in the narrator's modified 'Yogurt Cart' (Coco 3.0), an SSS-class anomaly that defies physics by traversing any terrain regardless of condition and preserving food indefinitely. Despite Noh Do-hwa’s complaints about the absurdity of the vehicle, she is eventually soothed by the narrator’s excellent cooking and the relaxing pace of the trip, which alleviates her burnout from managing the Corps. They arrive at a village in the Jeongseon Taebaek Mountains, known as the 'Jeongseon Dwarf Mine.' The narrator recalls discovering this void in his 54th cycle, where he found seven blacksmith dwarves who could not communicate verbally. These beings are physically grotesque, lacking eyelids and lips, with exposed eye sockets and mouth holes, and abnormally muscular arms. In his previous run, he failed to gain anything from them. This time, however, his goal is not to request a weapon but to observe their forging techniques. He explains to the skeptical Noh Do-hwa that the dwarves work with non-earthly ores like adamantium, and their hammering holds the secrets to smelting anomalies. Since Noh Do-hwa is Korea's greatest craftsman, he intends for her to learn from the dwarves' methods to craft an SSS-grade weapon. Noh Do-hwa expresses disbelief and threatens to kill him, referencing a past instance where the narrator had her killed in a previous cycle. As she strangles him in frustration, the narrator notes that he survived this time thanks to the yogurt cart's protective anomalies or his own regressor resilience, setting the stage for the upcoming craftsmanship training.
