The group travels through a harsh, snow-covered landscape, pulling crude sleds loaded with wood to keep otherworlders warm. The protagonist oversees the operation, instructing players to stop for the night and manage fires. Baron Jorge reports on the sleds' condition and later notes that half the Elixir supply is depleted, with several people near death. As days pass, exhaustion and sickness spread among the otherworlders, and players grow increasingly desperate, questioning the necessity of the march. Despite the suffering, the group endures, rationing wood and potions. On the final night, with fuel running out, they break a sled for firewood. Eom Hong-jun wakes the protagonist to warn that something is approaching from the direction of the castle, signaling the arrival of the monsters they had been fleeing.
