Chapter 217 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 217

The protagonists rush to the Exchange building at night to submit their Essence of the Mountain. The clerk initially announces an SS-grade rarity, but quickly downgrades it to S+ because a second identical item was submitted by pursuing players. The clerk explains that rarity is determined by supply and demand before the auction, and warns that mass submissions could drop the grade further. Concerned about the tracking mechanics of the Friend Registration Ticket, the protagonists visit the village shop to investigate. The shop owner confirms the item allows unilateral location tracking and cannot be deleted. Realizing the pursuers will arrive in eight hours, Choi Ji-won proposes delaying their submission by four hours to protect the protagonists' reward grade. The plan is met with hesitation, and the scene ends with the protagonists preparing for a potential confrontation.
