Chapter 256 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 256

Kim Jun-ho and Choi Ji-won encounter a mysterious robed information broker who identifies himself as Rose. After a brief exchange where Jun-ho quickly agrees to a deal, Rose reveals he knows about their past actions on Floor 4 and deduces they possess a special communication ability. He then shifts the conversation to the Empress, an unofficial top-ranked player who controls territory on Floor 26 and holds a rivalry with Michael Zetter. Rose explains that political tensions between the Player Association and various governments have created fractured territories on the floor. He reveals that the Association's reputation has recently suffered due to an incident involving a player named Dok Su-hee, who allegedly attempted to kill a U.S. government-affiliated player on Floor 26. The chapter ends with Jun-ho and Ji-won processing this new, troubling information.
