Chapter 3 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 3

Kim Jun-ho spends his first day practicing sword swings in a clearing, quickly realizing his physical strength and technique are severely lacking. As night falls and hunger sets in, a young bob-cut girl approaches him asking for food, but he has nothing to offer. The next morning, Park Cheol-jin, a muscular firefighter with gray-streaked hair, rallies the group to search for a water source, leaving most of the clearing behind. Kim Jun-ho remains, enduring thirst and hunger until the pony-tailed woman who had left earlier returns carrying a massive supply of calorie bars and water. She explains she obtained the loot by killing a monster. When Kim Jun-ho dramatically begs to become her disciple to protect the remaining people, she coldly rejects him, slashes his nose as a warning, and triggers his regression back to the start of Floor 0.
