Chapter 45 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 45

Kim Jun-ho reflects on his successful but mentally taxing clearance of Floor 2, noting how the comfort of Floor 1 has softened his resolve. He reviews the Platinum Reward List, ultimately choosing a Pill of Flash to permanently boost his Agility stat rather than taking equipment that would be lost upon regression. Deciding to disrupt the floor's rigid class system, he intentionally takes damage to regress back to the start of Floor 2. Upon returning, he encounters a miserable beggar named Thomas, who suffers from an itchy curse and cannot touch water or eat properly due to a compulsion linked to a bronze box in his pocket. Kim Jun-ho intervenes, taking the box and liberating Thomas from his curse. He instructs the beggar to wash, eat, and change, then teaches him the phrase 'Viva la revolución,' positioning himself as the revolutionary hero the city has been waiting for.
