Chapter 66 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 66

Kim Jun-ho and Kang Chan encounter a monster wolf hiding on a cavern ceiling. Jun-ho tricks the wolf into attacking Chan, whose overwhelming killing intent and powerful punch obliterate it but collapse the ceiling, triggering Jun-ho's regression. After returning to the cavern entrance, Jun-ho halts the group to coordinate their abilities. He prompts Ahn Gyeong-jun, Dok Su-hee, and Choi Ji-won to reveal their traits. To bypass the wolf's ceiling ambush, Jun-ho devises a plan to force Gyeong-jun into his Spirit Descent state by having Chan focus his killing intent on him. Gyeong-jun successfully summons a javelin-wielding spirit, which detects the wolf. Su-hee enchants the spear with 'Explosion', and the group swiftly eliminates the wolf. Later, Jun-ho learns the spirit perceives the world independently and formulates a new strategy to cover Gyeong-jun's eyes during the upcoming mirror maze to prevent the spirit from triggering defensive attacks.
