Chapter 94 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 94

Kim Jun-ho retreats into a hidden basement passage after the fourth-floor barricade fails, reflecting on the grim reality of regression and the heavy toll it will take on his growing group of allies. While resting, he discovers a man hiding in a secret corridor, having avoided combat by faking weapon damage. Confronting the coward, Jun-ho demands answers and strikes him when provoked. The man, a Japanese climber named Ryutaro, breaks down, confessing his fear and D-grade trait, and begs for mercy. Jun-ho, wrestling with his own morality and the Tower's corrupting influence, spares him but vows to watch him. After leaving the passage, Jun-ho fights his way up through the first three floors, eventually reaching the fourth-floor stairs where he finds Yoon Joong-hyun and Baron George arguing over casualties. Joong-hyun reports that seven residents died falling during the evacuation and reveals that the group has located the portal Jun-ho had previously hidden.
