The scene shifts to the vast battlefield, where Order Lord Haeil single-handedly holds back the Zheng Empire's forces at the Training Forest. Meanwhile, at Cheongsan City, Hall Master Kang I-tae confronts the traitorous Black Tortoise Hall leader Seolbaek, who has surrounded the city with noble clan cultivators. After a tense exchange, Kang I-tae orders Ujeol to lead the entry disciples to headquarters while he marches to reinforce Northern Aro. The chapter closes with Ise arriving at Daejeong Mine to find it overrun, where he encounters Hall Master Woo Yu-hui sitting calmly atop a mound of corpses.
