Ise enters Wang Gyu's fortress and confronts the puppet master, who commands over ten steel combat puppets. After a brief exchange where Ise demands the Heart Art manual in trade for ten thousand Spiritual Stones, Wang Gyu feigns cooperation then orders a surprise attack. Ise counters with the Divine-Sense Severing Art, disabling the puppets, and defeats Wang Gyu with the Root-Severing, Meridian-Cutting Art, destroying his Dharma-Flower Dantian. He then interrogates Wang Gyu about the five demonic cultivators ruling Districts 4 and 5 before driving him out of his own home with a Forgetfulness Talisman. Finally, Ise visits the old woman who had deceived him earlier, using Mind-Reading Art and threatening her to reveal the remaining targets, to which she reluctantly responds.
