A Message Talisman from Ujeol summons him to the administration office, where Ujeol delivers a sealed letter from Hall Master Haeil containing a map to Black Tortoise Plateau on the Hangsang Peninsula. After a five-day journey, Ise arrives at the cloud-topped plateau and waits before a closed mansion. The air splits and Hall Master Haeil emerges, his overwhelming Nascent Soul Realm spiritual pressure nearly crushing Ise to the ground. Haeil apologizes, and Ise introduces himself, beginning their first meeting.
