The cult uses rituals to create 'replicas' of specific people to steal their narratives; Kim Heowoon is a replica intended to imitate Lee Heowoon of the Cheerful Research Institute. Kim Heowoon desperately asks the protagonist to take in all the surviving 'Heowoons' so they can exist under the same name as Jang Heowoon, claiming they have no other home after their facility burned down.
