On the floor, 'human slugs'—victims who have been repeatedly charged fees—writhe in agony. As an usher machine approaches to collect bodies, Kim and Saheon hide in a vent. Saheon, displaying his characteristic lack of empathy, questions if the corpses have value as payment. Kim internally notes that while the exhibition charges for non-essential parts like eyes or mouths, other parts like brains are likely also valued, though he refuses to tell Saheon, fearing the man would suggest using corpses as literal currency.
