Chapter 121 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 121

The Special Operations Division tracks Kim Ha-eun, a sixteen-year-old arson victim turned demon contractor, to an abandoned building. Glasya-Labolas warns his contractor to hide while Yo-han arrives with Si-on, who demonstrates a Magic Tool—the Eight Trigrams Tablet—borrowed from the Bureau and recovered from the Thousand-Li Demon Venerable. Yo-han enters the dusty building first with Grizzly, while the invisible demon stalks him. Mistaking the disguised Glasya-Labolas for his familiar, Yo-han pets it, prompting the real Grizzly to cry out in shock. The standoff breaks when Yo-han reflexively punches the invisible presence, sending the demon reeling. Realizing his binding chains from The Lesser Key of Solomon fail due to Glasya-Labolas's existing human contract, Yo-han creates distance. Both invisible monsters charge each other, colliding with shockwaves that shake the air.
