After a violent weekend farm incident, an exhausted Kim Yo-han returns to his one-room apartment and collapses onto his bed. His familiar Grizzly wakes from the grimoire and joins in with mimicked Gyaa sounds, making Yo-han laugh. The next day he unpacks spoils from Kim Mi-ryeo's underground workshop: seven parchment sheets for a Pentacle, a Glock 17 pistol with seventeen unfired bullets, and Kim Mi-ryeo's blood-soaked hair in a ziplock bag. Reading The Lesser Key of Solomon, he learns nighttime crossroads are ideal for spirit summoning. De Vermis Mysteriis begins vibrating loudly on his desk. Yo-han picks it up, tosses it on the bed, and playfully threatens the book with romance-fantasy-style dialogue. The grimoire's cover glows red, pages flip autonomously, and the text transforms into readable language, leaving Yo-han flustered while The Lesser Key of Solomon watches with apparent pity.
