Chapter 43 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 43

In a New York hotel room, vampire Yoannis muses nostalgically about World War II-era cola while his attendant Mia reports rumors that Edward Coffin may have died in Korea. Yoannis reflects on Coffin's pride and the dangerous grimoires surfacing in Korea, then receives an email from Chairman Kim requesting cooperation. Amused by the prospect of a Korean vacation, Yoannis teases the flustered Mia on the bed before they share a drink. Meanwhile, at the Special Ops Team 3 office, Team Leader Si-on writes a self-imposed letter of reprimand over unauthorized firearm paperwork. Lee Hye-eun cheers her up, and Team Leader Park notes Si-on's unusual fixation on Kim Yo-han, comparing her narrowed eyes to the bureau director's. In a hotel lobby, Soo-ah awkwardly thanks Yo-han and heads to her room. Later, Yo-han brings Ellie convenience-store dinner; she thanks him, blushes, and invites him to a meal. He departs, reflecting that his vacation is over and work resumes.
