Chapter 56 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 56

The chapter opens with Shin Si-on asking Kim Yo-han why he refused Gremory's offer to remain in the game world as a king. Yo-han explains that happiness granted by others can be taken away, and he prefers to grasp even the smallest scrap of happiness with his own hands, referencing his childhood abandonment at an orphanage. After the meal, Si-on does the dishes before leaving. Yo-han pets Grizzly, who vocalizes in characteristic Gyaa sounds, and imagines Si-on in her studio apartment. The scene shifts to the Bureau for Abnormal Phenomena Countermeasures, where Director Shin Do-ryong confronts his aunt Shin Se-hee about the family line, dismissing her concerns about producing a son. Team Leader Park enters with Yo-han's file, and Do-ryong orders minimal surveillance. The final scene takes place in a Babylonian temple, where the demon Gremory, receiving worship, recalls memories of Yo-han and resolves to teach him about love.
