Chapter 57 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 57

At the Special Ops Team 3 office, Lee Hye-eun is surprised to see Team Leader Si-on arrive on her day off. Si-on says she needs documents and time to think things over. Team Leader Park, annoyed at first, hands her the materials and offers coffee while showing her a laptop. Hye-eun points out a site called Mage Net, a forum for wizards and bounty hunters. Si-on explains that while European wizard information is common, the site's demon-linked reputation makes it unreliable for serious intelligence. Park then shows her a bounty listing: the Grimoire De Vermis Mysteriis, owner estimated to be in South Korea, with a 3 Billion Won reward. Si-on checks the site and feels relief that information about the Lesser Key of Solomon and Yo-han has not been leaked. She reflects on Yo-han's extraordinary talent and her mixed feelings about him. The scene ends with Yo-han in his secret workshop, preparing to craft a Hand of Glory, when Grizzly spots a severed hand and lets out a loud cry.
