In a fierce nighttime battle, Yoannis commands his blood-kin vampires while taunting Shin Do-ryong with flattering nicknames, which the director dismisses with dry corrections. Shin Do-ryong summons a Thompson submachine gun and later a Japanese sword named Waegum, clashing with Yoannis's Claymore in a storm of bullets and arcane energy. Mia, Yoannis's worried vampire retainer, is told to stay back as the two magic swordsmen exchange blows. Team Leader Park and Team 3 agent Lee Hye-eun coordinate field command and medical regrouping under fire. After Yoannis reveals his Damascus steel blade and green Greek fire, Shin Do-ryong cuts through the flame net with a thread-coated blade, revealing the vampire's telekinetic flame-arrows. The team retreats with Chairman Kim escaping. Later, at a hotel, a depressed Namgung Soo-ah lingers; Yo-han gently urges her home, to study, and to reach out, ending with her anxious but playful demand that he answer her directly before she departs.
