Chapter 70 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 70

The chapter opens with an unnamed summoner prostrating before a golden-framed mirror, groveling to Paimon, King of the West in Hell, begging for demonic power and honor. Paimon, bored and disinterested, severs the connection, cracking the artifact. In her bedroom, Paimon receives a report from a demon maid about a finished painting, then directs the maids to hang a portrait of Yo-han leashing her. Overcome by infatuation, she strangles herself with a chained collar, moaning about domineering pretty boys, and playfully scolds the maid for pointing out she lacks a womb. She then writes an entry in the Paimon Gazette declaring she met Yo-han first. The parchment is read by Gremory, who resolves to visit Korea in a familiar form. Meanwhile, British Wizard Council officials react in alarm to Gremory's departure and the rising bounty on the De Vermis Mysteriis owner. Namgung Soo learns his daughter Soo-ah has returned safely and contemplates using time reversal to save his wife. A Mage Net mercenary named Hard decides to collect the 10 billion won bounty, while Elsea excitedly discusses the Finnish band Hevisaurus with the angel Raziel before departing for Korea.
