In this chapter, the protagonist and Lee Mun-ryong are ambushed by vampires in Battle City. Lee Mun-ryong makes a flashy entrance, deflecting a greatsword strike with a spear thrust, and immediately recognizes the blond vampire leader Yoannis, prompting him to bolt. The protagonist, using a breathing-technique-enhanced running speed, flees alongside Lee Mun-ryong while Grizzly holds off the vampire horde. Gnomes are summoned to stall the pursuers, and Yoannis calmly explains their nature as elemental spirits. A Daoist contract killer known as Thousand-Li Demon Horse ambushes them, but Lee Mun-ryong defeats him with a secret spear technique. Realizing they are outnumbered, the protagonist devises a plan to lure out the vampire leader. He escapes up a pedestrian overpass and leaps onto a moving bus, with Yoannis pursuing. On top of the bus, the two face off under the moonlight, exchanging veiled threats and personal jabs before the confrontation escalates.
