Chapter 91 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 91

The chapter opens with Yoannis and Mia reviewing CCTV footage showing Yo-han with a woman—Ellie—at a hamburger joint before entering a walled church. Recognizing the Vatican's involvement, Yoannis decides to lay low while Shin Do-ryong's division searches. The scene then shifts to a remote countryside church where Gideon, the Vatican's 2nd Mage Hunter known as the 'Sword of God,' confronts a Demon Worshipper disguised as an elderly priest. After a brutal battle in which Gideon slaughters demons and apostates, he faces Herald, a fallen priest possessed by Morax, the 21st of Solomon's demons. Gideon defeats the demon with his cross-shaped sword. Afterward, Sister Sophia, Ellie's adoptive mother, arrives. Gideon reveals his paternal feelings for Ellie, discusses her future as a nun, and laments the dangers her lineage poses. The chapter concludes with Yo-han receiving Ellie's pajamas, wine, and bread to set a barrier, while Namgung Soo-ah playfully teases him about his lack of romantic experience before tagging along to watch.
