Chapter 326 — Regression Is Too Much

Chapter 326

Michael Zetter outlines a lethal trap to the American President to identify a time traveler or regressor. He proposes using a newly constructed secret warehouse as bait, installing silent cameras and sensors, and spreading a rumor that a massive treasure has been moved inside. The plan relies on the premise that only a regressor would know the warehouse's location and return to the past to investigate it. Zetter also filters out potential traitors by giving different information to insiders and separating the President from his guard. Mahesh, Zetter's prophet, voices a personal intuition that the plan will fail and warns against interfering with the regressor, but Zetter dismisses the feeling and proceeds. The President agrees to the scheme, hoping it will restore his political standing despite the current monster crisis. The warehouse is eventually destroyed and the rumor spread, but no regressor appears, leaving Zetter to wonder if his timeline is correct or if the regressor simply does not exist.
