The protagonist reflects on Floor 2's bizarre corruption, where a prosperous city hides beggars and nobles encourage kidnapping and violence. He visits Baron Licht, who questions his return alone. The protagonist strikes him unconscious, finds a platinum sigil and a golden sigil-creation box, and leaves. A town guide who previously helped him arrives. The protagonist gives the box to the guide, who agrees to replace the corrupt nobles and assign normal tasks. As the protagonist drags the unconscious Baron outside, the Baron laughs, revealing that his actions were merely the will of God. The protagonist turns to see the town guide standing outside, now protected by dozens of magical orbs and a thick barrier. The guide reveals he saw the protagonist's full power and will not be fooled like Baron Licht. The protagonist charges but is hit by magic, triggering a regression to the start of Floor 2. Frustrated by the endless cycles and the Tower's twisted design, he resolves to act on emotion rather than reason.
