The group proceeds to a forked path with two doors: one depicting a warrior fighting a monster, the other a man clutching his head in agony. Inside the left room, a mysterious voice explains the trial's purpose: a warrior's essence is killing, but their purpose is protecting comrades. The voice instructs them to prick their fingers, mix their blood into cups of grain liquor, and drink to begin the trial. Jun-ho hesitates at the blood-sharing custom but complies, only to immediately trigger a regression upon taking damage.
