Waking from the illusion, he finds himself back in the third-floor trial, having been awakened by Dok Su-hee. They discuss the trial's mechanic of overcoming fear and reunite with Kang Chan and Ahn Gyeong-jun, who have been investigating a suspicious mine-like chamber. Gyeong-jun explains that the rare metal chunks in the room return impact when struck. As the group cautiously enters the chamber, the metal chunks suddenly assemble into a giant, ambushing them from behind.
