Hae Unchan arrives late, and the two exchange good-natured barbs over the book's immortal cuisine section. After learning advanced texts are unavailable, Ise secures a private cultivation room and begins practicing spiritual energy extraction, discovering his progress is limited by insufficient stored energy and resolving to hunt demons for cultivation resources.
