After splitting the earned Spiritual Stones, Ise retreats to his private cultivation room to reflect on his battle performance and practice controlling spiritual energy and demonic qi, eventually breaking through to the fourth star of the Qi Condensation Realm. A knock reveals Park Gangseo, his assigned senior, who scolds Ise for overtraining without eating and reveals a month has passed. Three days later, Ise attends a gathering of fifty-nine entry disciples in the Great Hall, where Ujeol of Kirin Hall delivers a lecture on advancing from the first to fourth star. When the floor opens for questions, Ise finally raises his hand and asks about the fifth star minor realm boundary, drawing surprised silence from Ujeol.
