After more than fifty days, Haeil returns from the Archipelago and is surprised to find Ise has reached the Sixth Star of Qi Condensation. Haeil explains the three paths to Foundation Establishment: the Pill Altar Sect's safe Foundation Establishment Pellet, Kunlun's resource-heavy Heavenly Rite, and the Great Exorcist Order's dangerous body-tempering method. He instructs Ise to combine the Great Exorcist Order's method with the demon's cultivation path, shedding his demon core. Haeil reminds him of his three tasks, warns him about his physique, and dismisses him. Left alone, Haeil reflects on the changing winds among the Hall Masters and mutters about picking a fight.
