Back at his butcher shop, Ise is joined by his business partner Buchun, who brings a mountain hare demon beast as an ingredient. Ise cooks the Snail-Headed Scholar's head into immortal cuisine, testing various spiritual herb combinations to mask the snail's odor. When the Medicine Hall cultivator arrives to pay for noodles, Ise confronts him about the inflated Regeneration Pellet pricing and warns him to behave, leaving the rude cultivator pale-faced and silent.
