Encrid executes a diversionary plan to attack an enemy camp by having Mac and the squad create a distraction while he and Andrew infiltrate. After Mac draws attention by throwing a stone, Encrid is discovered by a spearman. Using the Valen Mercenary Three Swords Style, Encrid manages to kill the soldier, but is immediately confronted by a formidable enemy commander. Despite a significant skill gap, Encrid's thrust is expertly parried, leaving him with a graze on his neck. The commander, distracted by a massive fire started by Andrew and a thug-background soldier, prioritizes saving the camp's flagpoles over pursuing Encrid. As the squad retreats, they are pursued by five soldiers. The group suffers heavy casualties, with Enri being severely wounded. Guided by Enri's knowledge of the terrain, Encrid leads the survivors toward the Green Pearl plains to shake the pursuers. As dawn breaks, the scout team successfully reunites with the main force, having survived another day of repeated cycles.
