The manual states that reading it guarantees arrival at a special exhibition. Immediately, the environment shifts from the office to a massive, candlelit mansion. Kim realizes the exhibition assumes its visitors are non-human. He seeks safety in a ventilation duct, accompanied by the voice of Braun, who encourages exploration. Kim consults the wiki and learns that in the 17th iteration of this Darkness, only seven out of thirty-four employees returned safely. As he is processing this, a mechanical grinding noise and screams signal a pursuit. A group of people flees a heavy machine. Kim leans out of the vent and pulls one fleeing individual inside to save them. The person is revealed to be his roommate, Baek Saheon, who is wearing a goat mask and is visibly terrified.
