Chapter 5 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 5

Kim Yo-han takes a leave of absence from university to avoid investigation into a professor's murder while continuing his part-time work at a manga cafe. A mother brings her elementary-school-aged son to the cafe, requesting meal and bus supervision, which Yo-han politely declines. After the customer leaves, Yo-han checks Grizzly's behavior and reviews news about the professor incident. Meanwhile, Shin Si-on and a female agent examine the crime scene, reporting that forensic results show only minor fingerprints with no traces of the killer. Si-on warns that the situation is worse than it appears, noting the culprit is actively controlling magic rather than being swept by it. Later, Yo-han researches ritual magic tools and discovers that some preparation items, like a pottery bowl, must be made directly by the wizard. To obtain one, he attends a children's pottery workshop, where he is the only adult male among guardians and children, quietly participating in the class.
