Chapter 62 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 62

Yoannis and Mia stay at a hotel used as a vampire base while Chairman Kim performs a cannibalistic ritual. Yoannis shows Mia a tablet listing potential operational buildings in Korea and they discuss the low interest in the De Vermis Mysteriis bounty on Mage Net, suspecting deliberate interference. Yoannis explains the vampire is a cosmic entity, not an earthly vampire, and reveals he watched it tear apart a Tiger tank. He worries the ritual will draw the grimoire's owner into Chairman Kim's affairs. Mia grows jealous, asking if Yoannis and his former student were lovers, which Yoannis denies. Later, Yo-han visits the secret workshop, bringing Grizzly an unplugged fridge to play with; the familiar's cries turn to confusion when cold air fails to appear until Yo-han replugs it. The chapter ends with Namgung Soo-ah arriving to learn Holy Water crafting, and Chief Kim reporting to Chairman Kim that he has located Soo-ah.
