Chapter 63 — I Picked Up a Grimoire and Became a Wizard

Chapter 63

In the Special Ops Team 3 office, Lee Hye-eun questions Shin Si-on about how one becomes a grimoire owner. Si-on explains that bloodline is not the primary factor; grimoires prioritize personal taste, and talent matters but cannot override a book's selection. She references Solomon, Rehoboam, and Isaac Newton to illustrate her points, noting Newton was both a wizard and a flawed king. Hye-eun worries about Kim Yo-han being chosen by Solomon's Lemegeton, but Si-on reassures her, suggesting they get coffee. The scene shifts to a winter evening street where Namgung Soo-ah walks with Yo-han, asking about mana and requesting extended magic tutoring. Their conversation is interrupted when a black car strikes Yo-han. Chief Kim and his men abduct both Yo-han and Soo-ah, shooting two of Soo-ah's bodyguards. In the van, an invisible force kills one subordinate while Yo-han, seemingly unharmed, uses the Sixth Pentacle of Mars to block fatal injuries and commands the remaining driver to change course.
